As a user-led organisation, we are always looking for disabled people to support our work by becoming trustees. Serving on the Board of Trustees of Trafford CIL enables you to influence our work, set the strategic direction and to feed into local initiatives around disability. You’ll be a part of something truly special and will be able to be an active part of our story as we continue to grow and develop.
Our rules state that “the minimum number of directors [trustees] shall be 6 and a maximum of 12 directors with at least 60% being disabled residents of Trafford.”
Trustees must be:– Honest and with integrity– Passionate about disability issues– Willing to commit to regular meetings and to support our team– Experienced, or at least interested in, things like HR, Finance, Marketing and Management of organisations
Each year, we hold an AGM, with members voting on key issues and also electing trustees, as well as the Chair and Vice Chair of the organisation. We welcome applications from anyone who is interested. The current chair, Ian Mackay, is very happy to talk to potential new board members.
